Background
Joseph Hart has practiced law for over twenty years, primarily in the area of entertainment and business litigation. He received his law degree in 1978 from UCLA Law School, and his undergraduate degree in 1974 from U.C. Berkeley. He has trained in trial techniques with the great trial lawyer Gerry Spence.

Mr. Hart has successfully recovered millions of dollars for his clients, and successfully defended clients from adverse claims. He practices in all California courts, and is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court. He has represented clients in arbitration matters with the American Arbitration Association, American Film Market, New York Stock Exchange, and National Association of Securities Dealers.
In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Hart advises clients in the entertainment industries on their contract matters.
Writing and Teaching
Joseph Hart is the co-author of Less Than Zero: Studio Accounting Practices Not Only Defy Common Business Sense, They May Also Be In Violation Of The Law!, published in Los Angeles Lawyer Magazine.
He has lectured to the legal profession at continuing education of the bar courses on Rights of Privacy and Publicity, Entertainment Litigation Issues, and Profit Participation Accounting in the Entertainment Industry. He has taught seminars for screenwriters and independent producers in the motion picture and television industries.
